As a member of the Information Services Department, the IS Project Manager will manage and execute technology projects to improve business results and client experience. The IS Project Manager is responsible for coordinating across the overall program, scope, risk and schedule management and troubleshooting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work with business teams to complete project intake, define project scope and objectives, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Manage projects, develop project plans, allocate resources, and monitor performance deliverables to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Participate in requirements gathering meetings in a way to ensure the end solution meets the requestors “needs” versus “wants”.
- Effectively communicate your project plans to cross-functional team members and management.
- Coordinate resources and timetables with business departments and IS teams.
- Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders to make necessary project adjustments and produce useful visuals and reports when necessary.
- Partner with business teams to create User Acceptance Test plans and serve as a liaison between technical and business teams when conducting the testing.
- Identify and resolve issues in project plans and schedules.
- Communicate project status consistently (weekly/bi-weekly as appropriate) with project team and stakeholders enabling informed decision-making.
- Report and escalate issues to management as needed.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Manage multiple projects at once.

QUALIFICATIONS (EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES):
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline required. Equivalent combination of education, training and experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
Experience:
- 5 years of IT industry experience
- 5 years of project management experience
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent project management and organization skills.
- Strong leadership and people skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, managers and clients.
- Strong professional communication both written and verbal.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills.
- Experience with both agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
- Gather requirements and process mapping experience required.
- Strong ability to multi-task.
- Proactive, self-motivated with a high level of ownership and drive to achieve goals.
- Skill to document complex systems and procedures.
- In-depth knowledge of system life cycle processes.
- Relevant technical, functional and/or process expertise.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ability to navigate sometimes ambiguously defined problems, developing creative solutions and delivering meaningful results.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.
VISUAL ACUITY
Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
