Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to operate different types of vehicles, including box trucks. The Delivery Driver will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts as needed.
- Ensure all deliveries are made on time while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures, receipts, and any discrepancies.
- Handle any issues or concerns that arise during the delivery process in a professional manner.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a courier role is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial.
- Proficient in driving both manual transmission and automatic vehicles.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus but not mandatory.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
