The Sales Associate, in partnership with store management, creates a customer centric environment aligning with FR & Company values. The sales associate supports the store goals which include exceptional customer service, sales goals, loss prevention, visual merchandising, and store cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Associate Duties:
- Cash Handling: Operate the point-of-sale system, process transactions, handle cash and credit card payments, and issue receipts.
- Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the store’s products and services to ensure accurate information is provided to customers.
- Sales: Meet or exceed sales goals by effectively engaging customers, understanding their needs, and promoting products.
Customer Service Excellence:
- Provide exceptional service by greeting customers warmly, understanding their needs, and offering personalized recommendations.
- Create a positive shopping experience by ensuring that each customer feels valued, heard, and appreciated.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure complete satisfaction at every touchpoint.
Sales and Product Knowledge:
- Maintain strong product knowledge and be able to confidently share information about features, benefits, and promotions.
- Assist customers in finding the perfect products while maximizing sales and meeting store targets.
- Upsell and cross-sell products based on customer needs and preferences.
Efficiency and Store Operations:
- Maintain an organized and efficient sales floor, ensuring products are stocked, labeled, and ready for display.
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves, performing stock checks, and handling product shipments.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the register, ensuring a smooth and quick checkout experience.
Visual Merchandising:
- Help with maintaining the presentation of the store, ensuring it’s clean, organized, and visually appealing.
- Assist with setting up product displays and promotional setups to attract customer attention.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Contribute to a positive, supportive work environment where everyone is encouraged to share ideas and contribute to the store’s success.
Qualifications:
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred, but not required.
- A passion for delivering top-tier customer service with a positive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently.
- Ability to learn quickly and retain product knowledge.
- Basic math skills and experience using POS systems for transactions.
- A team player with strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
Availability:
- 8-12 hours per week
- 2-3 days on average per week
- Sunday availability required
Job Type: Part-time
