Your work will directly impact the accessibility and mobility of individuals, empowering them to live more independent lives.Key Responsibilities : Patent Prosecution & Portfolio Management : Lead and manage all aspects of patent prosecution. Draft, file, and prosecute patent applications with the USPTO and global patent offices. Strategize to build and maintain a robust patent portfolio that reflects FR Conversions' market leadership.Patent Litigation & Dispute Resolution : Represent FR Conversions in patent litigation. Develop pre-litigation strategies, participate in settlement negotiations, and take on high-stakes litigation before administrative bodies like the PTAB.Strategic Patent Counseling : Advise senior leadership on patent strategy and guide internal stakeholders on critical decisions regarding patentability, infringement risks, and portfolio management.Licensing & Agreements : Lead the negotiation and drafting of patent licenses, assignments, and related agreements, ensuring they align with FR Conversions' goals and business strategy.IP Due Diligence & M&A : Conduct intellectual property due diligence for acquisitions, investments, and other strategic business initiatives, providing critical insights into patent-related assets and risks.Legal Research & Industry Leadership : Stay ahead of industry trends, patent law developments, and innovations in automotive and mobility technologies. We’re committed to investing in the success of our team and providing opportunities for growth and advancement in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.Qualifications : Education : Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Must be admitted to the Maryland State Bar (or eligible for admission).USPTO admission is required.Experience : 7 years of proven experience in patent law, with expertise in patent prosecution and litigation.In-depth knowledge of patent filing procedures, intellectual property strategy, and portfolio management.Familiarity with automotive manufacturing, van conversion technologies, and / or accessibility solutions is a strong plus.Experience advising clients or employers on patent strategy in high-tech industries is preferred.Strong litigation experience, including managing patent disputes, from pre-litigation strategy through trial.Skills & Competencies : Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex patent issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with internal teams and external clients effectively.#J-18808-Ljbffr
