WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Performs delegated patient care activities as directed by the RN or medical staff upon completion of documented training, in a manner that is aligned with age specific needs of the patient to ensure safe, accurate and high-quality treatment of patients.
Documentation of patient care.
Participate in organization, cleaning and safety of unit.
Maintains unit supplies, prepares patient rooms and medical records, enters charges, and answers the multi-line telephone to assist in the safe and efficient operation of the unit.
Answers questions about treatment plan within the expected scope or refers questions to RN.
Make rounds and respond promptly to patient requests.
Assist in the admission, transfer and discharge of patients as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred High School Diploma/GED
Nursing student after having completed 1st semester of clinicals Preferred
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Required or Prior PCT experience in another acute care health care organization Required or After completion of Franciscan PCT In-training program Required
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) - Franciscan will provide BCLS training and recertification as needed.
