What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stock Associate position at FREEBIRD STORES, Inc.?
The Role:
The Stock Associate will be responsible for receiving, auditing and stocking the inventory received at our retail store. The Stock Associate will need to move at a fast pace, be able to lift and organize merchandise into the stockroom, while also planning space for future shipments. Our ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and the ability to efficiently and effectively execute any plan thrown their way.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in all aspects of merchandise coordination including shipment receiving, unpacking and product placement in the stockroom
- Work with the store team to maintain a neat and organized stockroom, storage area and shipping/receiving area
- Support the sales team by responding to requests for product quickly and efficiently
- Assist the sales team with re-packing footwear according to FREEBIRD standards
- Work in a fast-paced environment demonstrating professionalism, organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Work independently to achieve goals set by supervisor and to create and maintain a well-organized stockroom
- Take ownership and pride in the stockroom to create the best customer experience
- Partner with supervisor and peers to maintain best practices and build effective relationships with store team
- Clearly and positively communicate with supervisor and seek feedback to improve personal performance
- Work positively within a competitive team environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma, or equivalent, preferred
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business
- Ability to lift and carry 30 pounds, with or without reasonable accomodation, and stand/walk for extended periods of time, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Ability to consistently maneuver a stockroom throughout a shift without physical fatigue
- Available to work Mondays

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
