Job Summary :
We are seeking a reliable and motivated CDL B Delivery Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves operating a delivery truck on designated routes with multiple stops, ensuring timely deliveries while providing excellent customer service. The driver will load packages onto hand trucks and unload products at each stop as directed by the Transportation Department Manager. This position requires proficiency in handling a cross-dock model, which includes picking up a loaded truck from a nightly delivery and returning the empty truck at the end of the route. Occasional assistance is needed for loading trucks, palletizing products, and completing other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver products efficiently, aiming to meet or exceed designated route times.
- Unload products from trailers, either by hand or with a hand cart, and ensure products are stored in the correct areas, even in varying weather conditions.
- Frequently lift, push, or move products ranging from 1-75 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 100 pounds; bend and twist while loading, unloading, and retrieving items.
- Verify each delivery with customers, obtain signatures, and report any discrepancies on invoices to management.
- Address customer complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Handle company equipment responsibly, adhere to safety rules, and conduct pre-trip inspections in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
