As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Hospital Manager to lead our team and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Position Overview:
The Hospital Manager will be responsible for overseeing the clinic’s operations, managing staff, ensuring the delivery of excellent client service, and driving the clinic’s overall performance. This leadership role is essential to achieving the practice goals including maintaining our clinic’s welcoming environment, efficient workflow, and high standard of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily clinic operations, ensuring a smooth workflow and positive client experiences.
- Human resource management including benefits, training, hiring, and records.
- Oversight of wellness plan management (Covetrus Care Plans).
- Control Accounts Receivable.
- Maintain legal and ethical continuity within the practice.
- Implement and maintain operational protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and clinic standards.
- Oversee inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment.
- Handle financial management with the assistance of the bookkeeper, including budgeting, invoicing, payroll, and expense control.
- Manage client relations, address concerns, and ensure exceptional customer service.
- Support the clinic’s marketing and outreach efforts, including social media and client communications.
- Liaison with professional contacts including drug reps and consultants.
- Collaborate with veterinarians to ensure optimal patient care and clinical efficiency.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes staff development and retention.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in veterinary hospital management or a similar leadership role in a healthcare setting.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in inventory management
- Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting and reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on team building and client service.
- Ability to lead by example and foster a positive clinic culture.
- Familiarity with Pulse veterinary practice management software is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare management, or a related field, or CVPM preferred (or equivalent experience).
