At Frisella Nursery, we’re passionate about plants, nature, and cultivating community through our garden center. We’re looking for an enthusiasticEvents Coordinator to join our team and help us bring our vision to life through exciting and educational events. From workshops to seasonal celebrations, you'll play a key role in curating experiences that engage, educate, and inspire our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Planning & Coordination: Develop, plan, and execute a calendar of events including workshops, gardening classes, seasonal celebrations, and private events. Bring new and fresh ideas, coming up with 2-5 events each month ranging in size from small 30 to large 300 people events, can be in house or partnered with other organizations success will be measured in event attendance revenue generated on event days
- Vendor & Instructor Relations: Work closely with local vendors, guest instructors, and community partners to coordinate event logistics and partnerships.
- Marketing & Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events via social media, newsletters, in-store displays, and other platforms.
- Budgeting & Reporting: Manage event budgets, track expenses, and provide regular reports on event performance.
- Customer Engagement: Interact with attendees, ensure their satisfaction, and gather feedback to continually improve future events.
- On-site Event Management: Oversee the setup, execution, and tear down of all events to ensure everything runs smoothly. Required to be on site at each event, resulting in some weekend hours. Lead execution of all large-scale events at Frisella Nursery including Christmas Open House, Fall Festival, Mothers Day, Etc. As well as smaller events/workshops such as Girl Scout Program etc. Will work closely with Garden Center Manager to plan event content etc.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle event-related inquiries, reservations, and communication with participants.
Work Environment:
- Part/time to start, may lead to full time for the right candidate and based on experience/revenue generated
- Hours may fluctuate based on seasons
- Can be hybrid– part time remote, part time on site
- Marketing experience is a plus
- Graphic design is a plus
- Event planning experience is required
- Community outreach experience required
