The Recruitment and Engagement Specialist will develop and maintain strong relationships with local schools, community organizations, chamber of commerce, job centers and other community groups to promote career opportunities within Frontier. Additionally, the Recruitment and Engagement Specialist will attend career fairs, expos and other community events to engage potential candidates.
In this dual role, the Recruitment and Engagement Specialist will not only be responsible for sourcing and recruiting top talent but also for managing and overseeing our summer internship program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for connecting people with opportunities and a talent for nurturing young professionals.
Essential duties:
- Work collaboratively with the People Engagement, Marketing and Operations team to understand staffing needs and ensure recruitment efforts are aligned with company goals.
- Utilize a variety of sourcing and networking strategies to identify and recruit candidates for various roles across the company.
- Collaborate with local high schools, vocational schools and colleges to create awareness about career opportunities in agriculture.
- Facilitate various programs at the high school level including job shadows, the Career Development Program and Frontier Academy to attract the next generation of skilled workers.
- Actively promote Frontiers mission, vision and values in the local community. Highlighting the benefits of working in agriculture and opportunities for career advancement.
- Work to establish a strong talent pipeline by fostering relationships with candidates, even if they are not immediate hires. Maintaining ongoing communication to keep them engaged and informed about future job opportunities.
- Track recruitment efforts, measure success, and report on key metrics such as the number of candidates sourced, events attended, and hiring leads made. Then use the data to continually refine and improve recruitment strategies.
- Lead the summer internship program and ensure it provides a valuable and enriching experience for all participants. Serve as a mentor and resource for interns, providing guidance, feedback, and support throughout their internship. Evaluate the performance of interns and provide recommendations for future employment opportunities.
- Ensuring standards of health, safety, and security to customers, vendors and employees by following and adhering to company safety standards and regulations and adhere to OSHA, EPA, DOT, state, and federal safety regulations.
Job skills and requirements:
- Bachelors degree related to agriculture, communications, business, marketing, HR or similar.
- Strong understanding and background of the agriculture industry and the roles within agriculture.
- Experience in recruitment, talent acquisition or community outreach, preferably in agriculture or similar field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and build relationships with diverse audiences.
- Comfortable with public speaking and presenting to large groups.
- Familiarity with recruitment software and job boards.
- Ability to drive and travel throughout the company trade territory.

Salary : $32,900 - $37,700
