Must be in or willing to relocate to El Segundo, CA. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

FTI is looking for a Systems Engineering to support our Enterprise Engineering government support team at Space Systems Command (SSC) in El Segundo, CA. This engineer will support requirements analyses, risk management, digital engineering, interface management, integration engineering, model-based systems engineering, and systems engineering governance. This tasking will comprise of the following:

• Designing, developing, implementing, and enabling operations of digital solutions laboratories at multiple locations as required
• Supporting established systems engineering and software engineering processes
• Planning and completing infrastructure and design engineering documentation and implementation
• Scaling program-level processes into enterprise-level processes
• Analyzing and assessing technical documents
• Studying and recommending the use and application of modern software tools supporting agile software development
• Analyzing and making recommendations to the government in specialized work areas for programs with focus on the following eight technical management processes:
• Decision analysis
• Technical planning
• Technical assessment
• Requirements management
• Risk management
• DE/MBSE
• Technical data management
• Interface management
• Implementing and maintaining a configuration management system for a diverse portfolio of programs with multiple software builds, multiple instantiations, multiple operating locations, and multiple C2 systems
• Travel 10%

Education/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Field required; Master’s degree preferred
• 10 years actively working as Systems Engineer (background in Space Systems must include MBSE experience)
• Must possess an active DoD Top Secret clearance and eligible to obtain a TS/SCI
• Must have experience working with MBSE tools (e.g. Sparx EA, Cameo, etc.)
• Experience with architecture development and familiarity with DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and related architecture guidance
• Strong analytical skillset to identify problems within processes and organizations, assess potential COAs, and present to decision authorities
• Ability to think critically, synthesize information from multiple sources into comprehensive plans, identify technical issues, and understand higher level impacts
• Familiarity with Atlassian solution sets (Jira, Confluence, etc.) for managing agile schedule activities
• Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure (e.g. AWS, HMC, etc.) and data base repository development
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills to deliver technical documents and briefings
• Ability to work independently with cross functional teams with minimal oversight
• Previous experience at SSC is strongly preferred
