Minimum Qualifications:
Purpose of Classification:
The purpose of this classification is to perform the specialized skills and leverage the knowledge required to alter, create and maintain clothing, ensuring that garments fit well and look their best, in addition to providing related services to both individuals and the Agency.
Essential Functions:
The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sewing and Alterations: Sew, repair, and alter garments, including uniforms, shirts, pants, and other clothing items.
- Machine Operation: Operate industrial sewing machines and other related equipment.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished garments for accuracy, fit, and quality.
- Customer Service: Interact with customers to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service.
- Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of fabrics, threads, and other sewing supplies.
Additional Functions:
Performs other related duties as required.

The examination will consist of an evaluation of education and experience accomplished by an analysis of the application. Application must document that the applicant possesses the minimum knowledge, skills, education, and experience as listed to be qualified. If selected, an official, accredited college transcript is required, at time of employment, for all degrees/course work used to qualify for this position.
