Podcast Editor

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Podcast Editor to join our team. The Podcast Editor will be responsible for editing and producing high-quality audio content for our podcasts, ensuring a polished and engaging listening experience for our audience. This role involves audio editing, sound design, and collaboration with the podcast hosts and production team to meet content goals and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit and produce audio content for podcasts, including dialogue editing, sound effects, and music integration.
• Ensure audio quality by removing background noise, optimizing levels, and enhancing clarity.
• Work closely with podcast hosts and producers to understand the tone and style of each episode.
• Manage audio transitions, add intros/outros, and ensure smooth pacing throughout episodes.
• Handle audio file organization and maintain backups of edited and raw audio files.
• Collaborate with the production team to create engaging and dynamic content.
• Integrate advertisements, sponsorship messages, and other required elements seamlessly into episodes.
• Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and techniques to ensure professional-grade production.
• Meet strict deadlines for episode releases while maintaining quality standards.
• Assist in post-production tasks, such as creating audiograms or other promotional materials.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Podcast Editor, Audio Editor, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Audacity, or similar).
• Strong understanding of audio production, sound design, and editing techniques.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Creative approach to problem-solving and storytelling.
• Familiarity with podcast hosting platforms (e.g., Libsyn, Anchor, Buzzsprout) is a plus.
• Knowledge of music licensing and audio copyright considerations is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with video editing for podcast recordings.
• Basic knowledge of social media content creation for promoting podcasts.
• Passion for podcasts and a keen understanding of audience engagement strategies.
