Part Time Warehouse Assistant:
G & G Beverage Distributors, Inc. is a proud competitive distributor of beers, craft beers and ciders throughout New Haven, Fairfield, Litchfield and Hartford County. Based in Wallingford, CT we are seeking a part time Warehouse Inventory Assistant to support the Operations Team.

Responsibilities:
- Drive non-CDL vehicles.
- Local Brewery pickups.
- Route trucks.
- Count inventory.
- Reading pick tickets.
- Load trailers and unload trailers.
- Restock warehouse as needed.
- Use fork lift.
- Repack breakage and seal into correct master cartons and holders.
- Bail plastic.
- Stack empty glass on pallets, wrap and load in trailers.
- Crush and bag empty cans.
- Maintain a clean and safe warehouse atmosphere.
- Assist operations department as needed.
Position Compensation/Schedule:
- 20-30 hours weekly.
- Schedule will vary dependent on assignment.
- $21.50 an hour.
Qualifications:
- Valid Connecticut Driver’s license and insurance is required.
- Valid Medical Card.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Basic math skills,
- Lifting/carrying material up 170 pounds.
- Forks lift certification.
- An eagerness to learn.
- Ability to work a varied schedule.
- Must be an effective communicator.
- H.S. /GED desired.
- Legible handwriting and good communication skills.
- Present a positive and professional image, both externally and internally.
- Ability to work effectively with G & G owners, management staff and employees.
- The ideal candidate will have prior driving, merchandising/stocking and/or sales and customer service experience.
As G&G Beverage Distributors is a growing company with seasonal volume fluctuations, flexibility is required to schedule work hours and vacation around peak work times. Individual must be able to shift priorities, work assignments and, if necessary, perform clerical work. This is an operational position, which requires inventory monitoring, installing and servicing equipment, maintaining vehicles, hanging promotional material, stocking shelves and making product deliveries. The employee reads written material, uses a phone, hand tools, computer and drives to customer sites. Lifting/carrying material under 170 pounds is required.
