Accounting Clerk - Temp to Hire

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the overall accounting operations. This position requires strong numerical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform data entry tasks with high accuracy, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded correctly.
• Manage accounts payable by processing invoices and ensuring timely payments.
• Maintain general ledger accounting by recording journal entries and reconciling accounts.
• Utilize accounting software for various accounting functions.
• Conduct regular audits of financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Provide support during month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and improve financial processes.

Requirements

• Proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry tasks.
• Strong math skills to perform calculations accurately.
• Familiarity with financial software
• Knowledge of accounts payable processes and general ledger accounting principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong financial acumen to understand financial reports and statements.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in an accounting role is a plus but not required.
