Large and busy medical practice seeking an office manager for our Garden city office.
Job Description and Requirements
- Supervision of patient scheduling, registration, patient balances, medical records, data entry and processing
- Coordination of the day to day operations of the practice
- Ensures patient satisfaction
- Coordinates staff meetings for administrative and clinical staff
- Promoting excellent customer service by all levels of the staff
- Assists in recruiting for the office
- Ensures regulatory compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, labor laws, and other federal, state, and local regulations.
- Creates staff schedules and approves time off
- Monitors staff clock in/outs and meal breaks
- Encourages and motivates staff for optimal performance
- Qualifications
- At least 5 years management experience (Required)
- 2 years experience in a medical office setting (Preferred)
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA and labor law
- Knowledge of regulations related to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance. (Preferred)
- Knowledge of maintaining supplies and equipment for the medical setting.
- Professional communication and presentation skills, including face to face, email, telephone, and video conference.
- EMR experience is a plus
