What are the responsibilities and job description for the Endoscopy Technician position at Gastroenterology East PA & Endoscopy Center?
ABOUT US:
Gastroenterology East P.A., & Endoscopy Center is located within the Medical District of Greenville, NC. We are a professional, expeditious, patient-centric practice eager to serve Eastern North Carolina and surrounding areas!
Endoscopy and Gastrointestinal Technicians prepare the rooms to work alongside the physician during procedures. Techs are also responsible for the sterilization and care of all utilized equipment post-procedure in order to maintain a sterile field.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain inventories of endoscopic equipment and supplies.
- Perform safety checks to verify proper equipment functioning.
- Prepare suites/rooms according to endoscopic procedure requirements.
- Clean, disinfect, or calibrate scopes and other endoscopic instruments according to manufacturer recommendations and facility standards.
- Position or transport patients in accordance with instructions from medical personnel.
- Collect specimens from patients using standard medical procedures.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
