Our client partner is seeking a Vice President of Finance to oversee all accounting and financial details for their luxurious Caribbean property. This role will be a driving force behind operations and spearheading developmental projects. Light quarterly travel is required for this role. This is a remote role, however candidates are required to reside in the South Florida area.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess financial risks associated with real estate, both new and existing, development projects.
- Create and execute financial strategies and solutions in accordance to Company business targets.
- Prepare all financial reports that outline the financial position in the areas of income and expenses.
- Calculate potential financial risks associated with new and existing projects.
- Coordinate closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis team to ensure that project business plans are executed.
- Provide financial insights to support project feasibility studies and investment decisions.
- Spearhead the allocation of the capital budget and planning including leasing and other forms of financing, reserves, and replacements.
- Determine appropriate depreciation and recovery rates to apply to capitalized assets.
- Recommend suitable insurance coverage for protection against all potential liabilities.
- Charged with roll-up of accounting budgets, forecasts, and actual results compared to monthly budget.
- Maintain and foster Investor Relationships
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10 years’ experience in real estate construction, development, hospitality, membership, etc.
- Actively licensed CPA.
- Travel onsite is required quarterly.
- Capacity to navigate complex financial transactions and negotiations.
- Proven experience working heavily in taxes and relationship with advisors in both taxes and accounting.
- Excellent multi-tasking and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office as well as Design and Construction applications.
