General description:
We are looking for Direct Support Staff for a 1:1 position for 1 client. 9am -3:30 Monday - Friday. at our residential facility located in Marina.
Full time employees are eligible for health benefits the 1st of the month after 60 days of employment. Employees working 4 months or more are eligible for our 401K program!
Essential duties:
Assist in personal care needs of the client (assist in bathroom, shower, etc.)
Able to do light cooking, some cleaning, and help feeding clients
Handles client concerns in an effective and timely manner
Responsible for daily document regarding process of client's goals, objectives, progress notes, behavior data collection, etc.
Communicates thoroughly and effectively with other departments and program directors, outside agencies and families/care providers of the clients
Ensures compliance of client rights
Ensures safe working environment for client
Participates in staff meetings as needed
Attends a minimum of 8 hours of in-service trainings a year
Mandated reporter of any suspected abuse defined by the Department of Social Services, of dependent adults and elders will be reported to Community Care Licensing in addition to San Andreas Regional Center, Adult Protective Services and/or local law enforcement agencies.
Completes all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Other requirements:
Able to pass clearance with DOJ ( Live Scan fingerprinting)
Able to pass physical and TB test and COVID-19 negative test
COVID-19 vaccination and booster
Valid California driver's license with good driving record
Current CPR/First Aid preferred
Good organizational and planning skills
Good initiative and follow-through with ideas
Knowledge of behavior management
Computer friendly and/or possess an open attitude towards the utilization of computers
