Scrum Master
Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scrum Master to support a mission-critical contract with the US Navy. The Scrum Master will work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions, ensuring that agile methodologies are followed and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospectives, ensuring efficient and effective meetings.
- Remove roadblocks and impediments that hinder the team's progress, ensuring smooth execution of work.
- Serve as a servant-leader, fostering collaboration and communication between team members, stakeholders, and the Product Owner.
- Ensure that the team is following Agile principles and best practices, and continuously help improve processes to increase team efficiency and delivery quality.
- Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure that the backlog is well-groomed, prioritized, and understood by the development team.
- Track and report on team performance, including sprint burndown, velocity, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Mentor and coach team members on Agile methodologies, Scrum framework, and self-organization techniques.
- Act as a liaison between the development team and external stakeholders, including US Navy representatives, to ensure project alignment with client needs and priorities.
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues that could impact project timelines or delivery.
- Ensure compliance with the US Navy's policies, security requirements, and government regulations as they apply to Agile development.
Qualifications :
In-depth knowledge of Agile principles and the Scrum framework.
