Systems Administrator – Secret Clearance Required

Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Systems Administrator to support their GeoBase operations. This role is pivotal in developing detailed requirements and specifications for proposed systems enhancements for business process tools. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of Windows-based servers, managing MS Active Directory and/or LDAP directory services, and contributing to the improvement of business processes through automation. This position requires an active Secret clearance and is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about technology and looking to make a significant impact in their field.

Responsibilities

• Identify and gather requirements for areas where business processes can be improved through automation.
• Interact actively with program managers and a team of developers for developing detailed requirements and specifications for proposed systems enhancements.
• Document business process steps and fine-tune them for accuracy.
• Identify internal control vulnerabilities, weaknesses, bottlenecks, technology gaps, or other areas of concern.
• Perform backup and recovery procedures for enterprise systems.
• Utilize and apply computer software including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Contribute to the understanding and application of Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE).
• Experience troubleshooting desktop, web, database, and server problems.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• B.A. degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with the use and administration of Windows-based servers.
• At least 3 years of experience working with MS Active Directory and/or LDAP directory services.
• CompTIA’s Security certification.
• Experience with the USAF GeoBase Program is highly desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and federal background check.
• Understanding of web administration and familiarity with web mapping applications using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS.
• Experience with Oracle or similar enterprise RDBMS.
• This position requires an active Secret clearance.
