Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with an emphasis on both residential and commercial cleaning standards.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting to maintain cleanliness in designated areas.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained.
- Carry out industrial cleaning tasks as needed, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Assist with facilities maintenance duties, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts to promote environmental sustainability.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests and maintain an organized supply inventory.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and effectively.
Skills
- Experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred, with knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and equipment usage.
- Proficiency in floor care methods, including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types.
- Familiarity with residential painting techniques is a plus for maintaining aesthetic appeal in facilities.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify areas that require cleaning or maintenance.
