Position Overview
The job profile for this position is for a Software Engineering Senior Advisor. This is a Band 4 Senior Contributor Career Track Role.
The Engineer will work with a team of talented individuals and be responsible for design, build and testing Medicare provider applications and its components that interface with complex systems and external vendor managed SaaS systems. Engineer will have solid knowledge working with complex distributed applications and passion for technologies by solving data integration challenges. Individual will have zeal and drive to be up to speed with latest development in tech arena.
Key Responsibilities

• Leverage existing open source frameworks, third party components/libraries, cloud and commercial software to design and develop robust enterprise solutions
• Enable a 360-degree view of Medicare provider-centric information through integration of a multitude of internal/external systems, devices, and data marts
• Support and enhance existing Medicare provider applications utilized by internal and external customers.
• Participate in all agile ceremonies effectively
• Responsible for leading a team of mid-level developers

Required Experience/Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline strongly preferred
• Ten or more years of solid, diverse work experience in IT with a minimum of five years' experience application program development, or the equivalent in education and work experience
• Engineer should be very familiar with advanced concepts and have relevant, hands-on experience in many of the following areas to be a successful contributor on the team:
• Expertise in one or more programming languages Java or Python or Scala
• Expertise in SQL development including store-procedures and NoSQL concepts
• Expertise in design and development of complex and cloud native ETL jobs including expertise with PySpark (or similar), AWS glue (or similar)
• Expertise in backend development including analyzing, data profiling, designing and developing backend applications with complex and highly normalized data model
• Handson public cloud experience and related technologies (AWS is preferred) is required. Should have experience in following services or its equivalent: AWS Glue, S3, Lambda, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM roles, CloudWatch, KMS, SecretManaer, CloudWatch alarms
• Experience in developing cloud native data pipelines and backend applications following AWS well architected principles.
• Should be comfortable to work with relational Database (MS-SQL server, Teradata, Postgres is preferred) and No SQL (DynamoDB preferred) Database
• Performance tuning of backed systems (threading, indexing, clustering, caching).
• Knowledge of reporting/BI tools such as SSRS, Tableau would be plus.
• Prior experience in integrating SaaS products with enterprise applications is highly desired.
• Data Integration (batch, real-time) following the established Integration Patterns
• Test automation skills using Behavioral Driven Development is nice to have.

Desired Experience/Qualifications

• Engineer must be a highly motivated, well-rounded, team player and self-starter that works best in a collaborative, dynamic, agile environment
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral are also essential as this position will interface with remote scrum teams, business owners, enterprise architects, security, infrastructure, and end users via email, phone, IM, desktop sharing, and wiki
• Candidate is expected to lead by example, exhibiting technical excellence and development of expert level business domain knowledge. Influences technical direction within the team and across cross functional teams
• Mentality towards integrating and reusing existing capabilities vs building from scratch is highly desired
• Ideal candidate will have relevant experience either as a consultant or working for a start-up company

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 123,400 - 205,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
