Essential Responsibilities:
- Determines covered insurance losses by studying provisions of a policy or certificate
- Establishes proof of loss by studying documentation and assembling additional information from outside sources
- Documents specific claims by completing and recording forms, reports, logs, and records
- Analyzes insurance claims to prevent fraud
- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information
- Ensures legal compliance by following company policies, procedures, and guidelines, as well as state and federal insurance regulations.
- Maintains quality member service by following member services practices and responding to member inquiries
- Protects operations by keeping claims information confidential
- Process and submit cancellation requests for extended warranties to the dealerships, coordinating follow-up actions as needed.
- Systematically gather, categorize and file all necessary documentation for total loss gap claims, ensuring completeness and adherence to regulator and company requirements.
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in claims processing, insurance administration, dealer services or related role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills; Proficient in analytical math
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and excel
- Strong organizational and time management skills
