Generator Source is a leader in the power generation industry, specializing in the sale, rental, and service of industrial power generators. With locations in Colorado, Texas, and Florida, we provide reliable power solutions to businesses across a wide range of industries. We are expanding our rental division and looking for a driven Rental Sales Manager to help grow our market presence.


Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Rental Sales Manager to join our team. This individual will be responsible for expanding our fleet of rental generators into key markets, including Denver, CO., Austin, TX, Pensacola, and Jacksonville, FL. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the industrial generator sector and a proven track record in developing and executing rental sales strategies. This role offers a competitive base salary with additional commission opportunities based on performance. Over time, this role will evolve to include building and managing a sales team in these regions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute rental sales strategies to significantly grow our rental generator business in the designated regions and beyond.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers in the industrial sector.
  • Identify opportunities for market expansion and create solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Lead and manage a growing collaborative sales team, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Recruit and hire new sales team members as the team grows.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Operations and Service, to ensure reliable and profitable rentals sales leading to exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Provide detailed and accurate reports on sales activities, forecasts and profitability projections.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote Generator Source.
  • Achieve and then exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Track performance through KPIs such as rental sales growth, profitability, customer acquisition, retention rates, customer satisfaction, customer retention and market share expansion.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of sales experience in the industrial generator or related sector.
  • Previous management or leadership experience in rental sales or a similar role preferred.
  • Proven capability to develop and successfully implement strategic sales strategies, aimed at growing existing and developing new territories.
  • Proven ability to recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing sales team.
  • Strong knowledge of power generation equipment and rental industry trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Willingness to travel to assigned territories as needed.


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but not required. Relevant industry experience can substitute for formal education.


Compensation:

  • Base salary: $80,000 - $100,000, based on experience plus commissions.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and 401(k).
