What are the responsibilities and job description for the Freshman Cheer Coach position at Genesee Education Consultant Services Gecs?
- Previous cheer coaching experience preferred
- Must have the ability to work with other coaches and receive direction from the Athletic Director,and/or Principal.
- Must be able to relate well to high school students, parents, school personnel and the general public.
- Must be knowledgeable of MHSAA rules and regulations
- Focuses on the student first and the athlete second.
- Must strive to boost school spirit and promote good sportsmanship.
- CPR Certification.
- Teach techniques and fundamentals of cheer.
- Organize and lead structured practices that follow the guidelines of the Athletic Department.
- Provide feedback on technique and performance.
- Be knowledgeable about the rules and regulations.
- Assume the responsibility for constant care of equipment and facilities being used.
- Be an example of good character and sportsmanship to the team at all times.
- Be reliable, on time and exhibit strong leadership and character traits.
- Assist the Athletic Director and/or Principal as needed.
