What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitor position at Genesis Automotive Group, Inc?
Job Responsibilities include:
The janitor position is a very important role within the company. The image and appearance of the dealership is critical to the success of the company. The janitor plays a major role in ensuring that our facility is always clean, un-cluttered, presentable, and safe. The janitor is responsible for performing the tasks below in addition to other tasks that may be required from time to time.
- The janitor will work with all the departments of the dealership and take direction from the department managers.
- The janitor will report directly to the General Manager.
- Responsible for cleaning: office and customer facing areas, restrooms, parts department, lunchroom/conference room, shop area, exterior and parking lots.
- Supplies/Monitor and order supplies as needed including cleaning supplies, water, coffee, cups, paper products, etc.
- General tasksPerform building maintenance tasks as needed including replacing light bulbs, light painting, and repairs.
- Coordinate with outside vendors as needed.
- Re-organization projects as needed from time to time, closets, storage rooms, etc.
- Deep cleaning events from time to time as needed.
- Deep cleaning events from time to time a major cleaning event or a repair project needs to be performed. These events are usually done after hours or on weekends. The janitor will work coordinate with the management team and outside vendors to schedule these events.
- De-clutter the janitor shall always be on the lookout for clutter and junk.
- The janitor shall work with the department managers to confirm what items are needed and which items need to be thrown away to ensure that the dealership is always neat and organized even in areas that are not facing customers or employees.
- Snow Removal/Clear walkways and entry areas of snow and ice.
- Spread salt/ice melter as needed to ensure a safe pathway.
- Record storageAssist with the proper storage and maintenance of company files to ensure organization and security.
