Budtender

Overview:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Medical Cannabis Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cannabis and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Budtender, you will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting the right products to meet their needs while ensuring compliance with all regulations. Your role will be pivotal in creating a welcoming atmosphere and educating customers about our offerings.

Requirements

• Applicant must be 21 years of age or older - per state law
• Applicant must be able to pass a state required background check (info in this can be found at the bottom of the listing and must be included with your application.
• Reliable transportation to and from work

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide a friendly, informative shopping experience.
• Assist customers in selecting cannabis products based on their preferences and needs.
• Maintain knowledge of various strains, products, and consumption methods to effectively educate customers.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently.
• Manage inventory levels, including stocking shelves and organizing products.
• Ensure compliance with all state regulations regarding the sale of cannabis products.
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
• Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance and support in their roles.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele.
• Experience in retail sales, including familiarity with retail math concepts.
• Proficiency in using POS systems for transactions and inventory management.
• Ability to upsell products while maintaining a positive customer relationship.
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling inquiries over the phone.
• Knowledge of supervising techniques to assist in training new staff members effectively.
• Strong organizational skills for managing stock levels and maintaining cleanliness in the dispensary environment.
