Cashier

• We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team at a busy Italian Restuarant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle cash and operate a cash register effectively. • We are looking for someone who is mature and reliable. There would be a possibility of becoming a shift leader or manager.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed.
• Accurately process customer transactions using a cash register or POS system.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision.
• Maintain knowledge of store promotions and upsell products to enhance customer experience.
• Ensure the cash register is balanced at the end of each shift.
• Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining the cleanliness of the checkout area.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding customer needs and inventory levels.
• Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and transaction processes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or as a cashier is preferred.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and retail math.
• Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
• Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
• Ability to operate a cash register or POS system efficiently.
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in transactions.
• A positive attitude and willingness to assist customers in a friendly manner.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if necessary.
