GEODIS Logistics LLC is Hiring an IT Project Manager I Near Brentwood, TN

The IT Project Manager I is responsible for developing, coordinating and maintaining technical IT project plans in a cross-functional environment. The position is the liaison between IT, business units and clients.

The points below highlight the warehouse IT Project Manager I duties:

Primary Duties:

  • Creates, executes and manages multiple mid-scale IT project plans across various disciplines to include software development, systems and infrastructure
  • Supports functional IT managers and project teams with the management of all project phases, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & controlling, and closing
  • Uses project management techniques to develop and manage action items lists, risk registers, and issue logs
  • Follows up with task owners for work progress and completion of items
  • Coordinates IT work across multiple locations, assists with vendor coordination, assists with procurement of IT equipment and services
  • Prepares status reports with input from work-stream owners, highlights at-risk items and reviews with managers
  • Coordinates and facilitates regularly scheduled project calls and publishes meeting minutes documenting discussions and issues
  • Manages project scope through documented change control process
  • Updates project plans with input from project team
  • Assists with budget forecasts and tracks project budgets
  • Other duties as required and assigned

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management or related field from a 4 year college or university
  • Minimum 1 year related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Visio
  • Basic knowledge of systems, networking and software development lifecycle
  • Experience with project planning and reporting tools required; Microsoft Project Server preferred
  • Experience in creating technical flowcharts and other process diagrams

  • Ability to manage multiple technical projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to perform duties using project management principles, theories, concepts, and techniques
  • Superior problem solving, analytical, and organization skills
  • Excellent oral communications skills to facilitate meetings and workgroups in conference rooms and/or teleconference
  • Excellent written communication skills to write detailed reports and correspondence
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage own work
