What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Clerk - Live(Breeder, Broiler, General) position at Georges Inc?
Monday - Friday (8am - 5pm)
SUMMARY: The Live Accounting Clerk is responsible for a variety of accounting-related activities relevant to the live operations, which includes Pullets/Breeders, Hatcheries, Feed Mills, Broiler grow-out, Live Haul and Farm Services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Audit, process and finalize pay (weekly or bonus) of growers (broiler or pullet/breeder). This includes balancing all information received from operations and communicating with operations to receive all necessary documentation.
· Audit, process and post all invoices and bonuses related to growers.
· Compile relevant live production data for distribution internally or externally.
· Prepare weekly reporting packets.
· Maintain all grower information, current and historical.
· Maintain other key information related to live operations.
· Audit, process, post and finalize data entry of feed mill data and inventory.
· Audit, process and finalize live birds daily.
· Respond to any inquiries from growers, operations or management and resolve requests in a timely manner.
· Communicate operational performance to growers (broiler or pullet/breeder).
· Provide backup for other Live Clerks as needed.
· Prepare various reports, follow-up detail and summaries pertaining to live operations and reports for the accounting manager or other live production management upon request.
· Provide and assist with preparing any other accounting detail needed by local and/or corporate accounting for various reports, budgets, projects, audits and inquiries
· Keep a running record of instructions for procedures performed for training purposes.
· Assist with day-to-day office functions including but not limited to document scanning and storage, assisting with medication inventories, etc.
· Responsible for timeliness and accuracy in all areas.
· Other office tasks and duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will not have supervisory responsibility.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· Required
o High School degree or GED, Associates degree preferred
o 1 years clerical experience
o Microsoft Office experience.
o Strong communication skills both written and oral. Will communicate with all levels of the organization.
o Must be flexible, self-motivated, able to problem solve, multi-task and meet deadlines.
o Ability to work overtime, holidays, flexible hours, weekends and travel as necessary
· Preferred
o Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel functionality
