Georgia Eye Partners is a specialty eye care practice in Metro Atlanta comprised of ophthalmologist and optometrists dedicated to providing patients with the highest quality medical and surgical eye care. Our services range from general eye care to complex surgical care for conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, corneal disease, and refractice. We offer LASIK and other refractive surgery options as well as oculoplastic surgery and laser aethetic procedures through OPAL Aesthetics.
Position Summary
We are now hiring for a Contact Lens Associate that will support a high-volume ophthalmic & optometric practice that focuses on providing quality and compassionate care to each patient needing complete eye care services.
Responsibilities
- Performs accurate and appropriate evaluations for fitting contact lenses
- Trains the patient in the contact lens care, trains the patient on how to insert and remove the lenses. Provides technical expertise that instills confidence in the patient.
- Obtains and records patients contact lens history, any medications and allergies in EMR system.
- Resolves issues, concerns or problems during the evaluation of fitting the contact lenses.
- Follow up on patients trialing contact lenses.
- Maintain and post sales, payments and deposits of contact lens activity.
- Maintain product inventory and track supplies of lenses and solutions.
- Make exchanges and returns and reconcile vendor orders.
- Verify various insurance companies to acquire patient benefit information
- Provide over-the-phone and face-to-face assistance with contact lens appointments, vision insurance, and collecting payments.
- Process orders, check contact lens orders, insurance claims, and collecting payments
Qualifications
H.S. Diploma or GED, some College, ABO / NCLE or CPO certification preferred; 3-5 years previous optometric experience, contact lens fitting experience preferred
