Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student, ensuring adherence to all relevant state and federal regulations.
• Provide targeted support to a diverse caseload of students, implementing personalized academic and behavioral interventions.
• Foster collaborative relationships with general education teachers and support staff to create strategies that facilitate student success.
• Adapt educational materials and instructional methods to meet varied learning styles within a virtual resource room environment.
• Conduct regular assessments of student progress and actively participate in discussions with families and school teams regarding developmental milestones.
  
  

Required Skills

• Special Education Certification in both your home state and Maine.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families.
• Comprehensive understanding of current special education practices and IEP implementation.
• Experience working with students facing behavioral and functional challenges.
  
  

Qualifications

• Licensure in Special Education is required in both your home state and Maine.
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) through the Maine Department of Education is necessary.
