BIM/CAD Specialist – Plumbing Systems
Gibson Plumbing Company, established in 1954, is a full service residential and multifamily plumbing contractor serving San Antonio, Austin, Dallas and Houston.
Gibson Plumbing Company is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented team member with Modeling and CAD experience. This person will work with the Pre-Construction and Production Departments in modeling cost-effective plumbing systems, reflecting real-world installation techniques and applications.
The ideal candidate is well organized, an excellent multitasker, has initiative, and is attentive to meeting deadlines with excellent communication and people skills. Plumbing or construction experience is a plus!
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining Revit models for new and active commercial projects.
- Assist in the development of In-House BIM and CAD standards.
- Develop and maintain Plumbing BIM templates, families, schedules, parameters, details, and libraries.
- Provide BIM production support for project teams.
- Attend weekly multi-disciplinary coordination meetings with General Contractors and report BIM clash progress project teams.
- Assist in training of internal BIM/CAD users.
- Verify BIM Models adhere to internal and client specific goals and standards.
- Monitor project delivery to ensure compliance with the agreed upon strategy, standards, and work processes.
- Resolve conflicts as they come up between the design and construction documents and intent of project per specification and contract requirements.
- Work with the MEP to produce high-quality rendering and design to meet and exceed client needs.
- Support various teams as needed by scheduling discussions/meetings and follow-up on training needs and overall project delivery.
- Produce penetration and As-Built CAD documentation and dimensioning through production team guidance.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelors' s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or related field is preferred.
- Must have an in-depth knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and related software.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
