Job Summary: The Construction Assistant will be detail-oriented and proactive and support our construction team administratively and logistically. This role ensures smooth project operations by assisting with documentation, coordination, and communication between team members, vendors, and clients. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and eager to contribute to successful project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and managing quotes, project documentation, permits, and reports.
- Handle communication between contractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Maintain project files, drawings, and records.
- Track project expenses and assist with budgeting.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for materials.
- Support payroll processing and timekeeping for site employees.
- Manage purchase orders and coordinate with vendors for materials and equipment.
- Ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality standards.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Source, price, and order materials
- Assist with job turnover
- Previous experience in construction, project coordination, or administrative support (preferred but not required).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic understanding of construction terminology and processes (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and project management tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if required for site visits).
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Associate's degree or certification in construction management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
