Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, facilities maintenance, and the ability to read schematics. The Maintenance Technician will work independently and as part of a team to maintain a safe and functional environment.

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, including troubleshooting and fixing issues.
• Conduct residential painting as needed to maintain the aesthetic quality of facilities.
• Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter to test electrical components and ensure proper functionality.
• Read and interpret schematics to assist in diagnosing problems and implementing solutions.
• Carry out general facilities maintenance tasks, including plumbing, HVAC repairs, and general upkeep.
• Supervise junior maintenance staff or contractors when necessary, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
• Weld components as required for repairs or modifications within the facility.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Familiarity with residential painting techniques is preferred.
• Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
• Proficiency in using tools such as an ohmmeter for testing electrical components.
• Experience in welding is a plus but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
