Automotive Service Technician / Mechanic

Gladstone Mitsubishi, a subsidiary of Time Auto Group, is looking for an Automotive Service Technician to join our growing team!

Schedule:  Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Compensation: $33 per flagged hour DOE

Bonus Structure: Flagged hours reach 180, additional $2 per flagged hour bonus. Flagged hours of 200 or more, additional $5 per flagged hour bonus.

Tech of the Month receives $500 bonus - one selected each month

Qualifications 

• Minimum 2 years’ Service Technician or Auto Mechanic experience required, more experience preferred.

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

• Previous experience working on luxury vehicles preferred.

• Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions HIGHLY PREFERRED

• ASE or manufacturer certification preferred. 

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair. 

• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination. 

• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment. 

• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies. 

• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve. 

• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment. 

• Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively. 

• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications. 

Responsibilities 

• Will be working primarily on used luxury vehicles.

• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards. 

• Diagnoses vehicle problems based on customer complaints and inspection. 

• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts. 

• Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer. Warranty parts must be returned to the parts department and signed off on RO. 

• Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended. 

• Communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time. 

• Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order. 

• Road tests vehicles including inventory and client vehicles. 

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
