Senior Engineer in Remote Information Security

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Remote Information Security Senior Engineer to join our team. This pivotal role requires over five years of experience in the field of information security, with a strong focus on implementing security controls and managing insider threats. Preference will be given to candidates located in Florida.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct vulnerability analyses and exploitations across applications, operating systems, and networks.
• Design and approve security models and configurations, including firewalls, VPNs, and IDS technologies.
• Identify intrusion methods through rigorous testing and evaluation processes.
• Lead security awareness initiatives, educating staff on security policies and best practices.
• Contribute to the creation and deployment of countermeasures and tools specific to cyber operations.
• Monitor industry updates and best practices to enhance overall security management.
• Resolve complex malware and intrusion incidents as they occur.
• Serve as an internal consultant on information security standards and complex issues.
• Perform in-depth testing and analysis of sophisticated software systems to assess functionality and intent.
• Maintain comprehensive operational and configuration documentation while creating and updating relevant diagrams.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity Risk and Security Operations teams to elevate the organization’s security posture.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in information security.
