Oceanfront Restrooms Cleaning Team (multiple shifts)

-Special Events Team Oceanfront Restroom Cleaner-

A Special Events Team Cleaner at the Oceanfront Restrooms is responsible for maintaining a clean location by completing a variety of cleaning tasks. Their duties include mopping floors, sweeping sand, cleaning surfaces with disinfectant and emptying trash cans or recycling bins. Cleaning staff will directly report to the Area Manager. This job post is at the Oceanfront therefore will be outside.

Duties & Responsibilities

Special Events Team Cleaners have the following responsibilities:

· Clean the interior of buildings including doors, floors, mirrors, windows, sinks, commodes and stalls

· Disinfect commonly used items like counter tops, door handles and grab rails

· Maintain cleaning inventory, notify Area Manager when cleaning inventory or chemical products are needed

· Empty trash and recycling bins

· Power wash, sweep and mop floors

· Clean and maintain restrooms

· Notify Area Manager of unsafe conditions

· Operate pressure washer, floor scrubbers, buffers and other floor equipment (as needed)

· Maintain surrounding 10 feet perimeter of the building location

· Other duties as assigned

Education, Training, & Certification

Education: At least a high school diploma or GED is required for this position, as well as some experience.

Experience: Cleaners will receive on-the-job training while working underneath a more experienced Cleaner for a period. Cleaner can also earn several certifications specific to different areas, such as biohazard cleaning.

Skills & Competencies

Qualified candidates need the following skills and qualities:

· Good communication skills

· Knowledge of various cleaning products and when to use them

· Ability to clean and disinfect various surfaces

· Ability to lift and move at least 50 pounds

· Good organization skills

· Knowledge of safety guidelines when working with chemical cleaners

· Excellent time-management skills

Work Environment

Cleaners will check in at their respective location. This job is at the Oceanfront Restrooms and will be outside during summer months. Due to special events held at the Oceanfront, this environment will have high traffic and a variety of entertainment.

Work Schedule

Cleaners will work part time positions. They will be required to travel to job sites.
