Job Summary
Global Environmental (Global) is a full-service provider of environmental remediation equipment that includes wastewater treatment, soil remediation, and air treatment systems. Global is looking for a full-time Service Technician to join our team working in the field and in our facility.
We prefer candidates with some degree of mechanical aptitude ideally from previous work experience in construction or a related field. On-the-job technical training is provided.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Perform field service work under the instruction of a crew leader on environmental remediation systems throughout Michigan and the Midwest region.
- Assist with the manufacture of environmental remediation equipment under the instruction of Global team members at our facility in Holly, MI using a wide range of hand and power tools.
- Operate and maintain wastewater treatment systems under the direction of a State certified operator.
- Operation of light and heavy equipment including but not limited to forklifts and telescopic off-road forklifts.
- Take an active role on field service crews by participating in both scheduled and emergency response-based projects.
- Assisting in loading equipment and supplies for project needs.
- Operation of DOT vehicles with a GCWR under 26,000 pounds.
- Ensure the health and safety of the crew, customer, and site by adhering to Global safety policies and procedures by identifying, communicating, and mitigating hazards
Position Requirements:
- Capability to lift up to 60lbs and comfort with standing/walking for long periods of time.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER-Global will provide the training and certification if needed.
- Valid Chauffeurs Driver's License with a good driving record or the willingness to obtain one.
- Basic computer skills.
- Comfortable wearing a respirator as needed.
- Ability to perform physical labor under the direction of crew leads.
- Ability to respond to out-of-town projects as needed.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English sufficiently
- Industry/Construction experience preferred
- Must be able to pass DOT physical including drug and alcohol screening
- Welding and fabrication experience a plus
