IT Systems Administrator
Glosten is seeking a full-time IT Systems Administrator to join our team and will be based in Billerica, MA. Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs analytical, technical, and administrative work in the planning and installation of new and existing desktop, laptop, and tablet computers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day end-user network, hardware, operating system, and software issues.
- Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems. Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of domain AD and Azure AD services.
- Provide user training/guidance for local and remote network access as well as on-premises and cloud-based applications and systems.
- Provide installation and licensing support for a comprehensive and varied suite of engineering software and business applications.
- Work with vendors to help procure hardware, software, support, and maintenance.
- Billerica, MA office attendance 5 days a week.
- Provide company-wide support through the IT team on a 24/7/365 basis.
Required Experience:
- 2 years in IT systems administration.
- Strong technical and troubleshooting aptitude.
- Experience with installation and support of Microsoft Windows Server, Windows AD, Windows 10/11, and associated Windows networking.
- Experience with installation and support of Microsoft O365 applications and services.
- Demonstrate solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Due to the nature of the role and the access needed, US citizenship is required.
- Must be able to pass background check.
Other Experience (preferred, but not required):
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange 365 and Azure AD.
- VMware vSphere (Enterprise Plus) w/ vSAN and Horizon (Enterprise) w/ vGPU.
- Dell/EMC PE servers, SC SAN storage, HPC, and networking (Layer 2 and 3).
- Microsoft technologies (Exchange, Project server, SharePoint).
- WatchGuard firewall management and secure private networking.
- BYOD device support (iOS, Android, etc).
Some travel and fieldwork might be required. Some project assignments will require a valid driver's license. Ability to reach above and below the waist; ability to lift/carry supplies and objects weighing up to 40 lbs. Periodic off hours and weekend work will be required for necessary IT infrastructure maintenance and support.
