Summary:

We are looking for a Project Manager who will provide support for the CDC Division of State and Local Readiness (DSLR) contract. The purpose of this acquisition is to supplement support services to DSLR in the accomplishment of its mission through a variety of administrative, communication and policy products and activities to enhance public health preparedness and response capabilities.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

    Coordinate the services provided by contract staff across DSLR units in order to ensure that the same level of quality defined in this PWS is provided in each unit where work is taking place.
  • Ensure staff are identified to provide calendar, travel, and meeting support services to the Division of State and Local Readiness (DSLR) to always ensure coordination and backup of responsibilities.
  • Provide a monthly report of all tasks in the contract, by task, which summarizes the services provided, any materials developed, quality, quantity and timeliness of services and products. This report should include recommendations for improvements to DSLR systems and processes if any are needed. For any problems or challenges that arose during the reporting period, identify how the problem was addressed and remedied, or if it was not, identify recommended resolutions or alternatives.
  • Coordinate meetings once per month with the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) to provide an update on the status of key tasks, any challenges being faced, recommendations for addressing them, and projections for the coming month. Provide a written report of what is discussed at the meetings, including action items for the contractor and CDC.
  • Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately.
  • Ensure that contract staff understand their roles and responsibilities as compared to DSLR full-time employees (FTEs).
  • Communicate issues affecting DSLR operations to the COR and provide information on how such issues are to be handled to minimize their effects on DSLR operations.
Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • knowledge in statistical sampling and analysis as well as quantitative/qualitative research within the government healthcare domain
  • Demonstrated progression in level of responsibility within a professional project management environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple work streams, multi-task, and work well under tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven experience in building successful partnerships with business and technical groups
  • Self-starter with ability to perform and lead work independently
  • Structured problem solving
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to use multiple communication methods (written/visual) to work with all levels of staff
  • Ability to interact effectively with a variety of contacts/relationships, including senior-level managers

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in any concentration
  • A minimum of 3 years senior level project management experience, including demonstrated knowledge of principles and concepts.
  • Experience working with executives or senior staff
  • Must have worked in Healthcare domain

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Project Management Certification (e.g. PMP, PMI-Risk Management Professional, Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM)

The pay range for this position is $130,000 to $135,000 per year.
