Peregrine is a thought leader within the cybersecurity industrial control systems and the Internet of Things, supporting many federal and commercial customers. Our experienced staff know the cybersecurity and operational technology environment well, by providing these capabilities for our customers on a daily basis.

Summary:

Peregrine Technical Solutions is seeking an experienced Grant Specialist for a Federal Government customer located in the National Capital Region. The customer is a federal grant-approving organization. This subject matter expert (SME) will support the customer’s Grants Management Team, providing expertise, planning, and logistical services in support of grants management and will prepare and present grant management training

Essential Job Functions:

  • Review submitted grant packages for compliance with US Government regulations and general feasibility of project implementation; provide recommendations to supervisors regarding approval or necessary changes.
  • Advise stakeholders on grant management, including federal policies and regulations, through remote support throughout the year.
  • Draft standard operating procedures (SOPs), guidance, training materials, and technical requirements to support and inform Grants Officers.
  • Provide information and guidance to Grants Officers to address poor grant performance, unexpected delays or circumstances, or policy changes.
  • Create and deliver briefings/ presentations on grants management and federal assistance policies, both in-person and virtually.
  • Conduct virtual site visits to federal grant recipients, in partnership with the Grants Officers, Grant Officer Representatives, and Program Officers.
  • Conduct research, collect data, and prepare reports or presentations on grant portfolios for ad hoc projects and other stakeholders.
  • Manage the customer’s SharePoint grants repository, ensuring all sites and documents are updated and available.
  • Work with the Grants Management Specialist to set up trainings, ensuring all the supporting materials required for the trainings are prepared.
  • Plan, develop, and present virtual training workshops.

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Read, speak, and write fluently in English.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office Suite applications and MS Project.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable presenting to high-level government executives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and cultural awareness and sensitivity required to interact with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Analytical mind, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines working in a fast-paced environment
  • Skilled at establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders of diverse backgrounds.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least two years of recent, relevant federal grant experience.
  • SECRET security clearance required.
  • Willingness to submit to a background investigation.
  • Previous and demonstrated experience in a similar role supporting grants administration and/or management.
  • Ability to develop and manage SharePoint or other web content.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited educational institution.
