Job Description: We are seeking a Youth Liaison who will play a key role in coordinating summer activities for our young community members. This position offers a unique opportunity to impact the lives of Kickapoo youth by facilitating memorable experiences that blend fun, learning, and cultural enrichment. The ideal candidate is a community member familiar with Kickapoo culture and traditions, passionate about youth development, and skilled in collaborative work.
Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate and implement summer activities for youth, including but not limited to camps, workshops, and cultural events.
- Work closely with the Unity Group to support and enhance group activities, fostering leadership and teamwork among participants.
- Engage with community partners and stakeholders to secure resources, support, and participation in youth programs.
- Serve as a mentor and role model for youth participants, promoting positive behavior, cultural pride, and community involvement.
- Monitor and report on the progress of activities, participant engagement, and overall program success.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the goals of the Kickapoo Native Connections Program.
Qualifications:

- Demonstrated familiarity with and respect for Kickapoo culture and traditions.
- Experience in coordinating or leading youth activities and programs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals and groups.
- Proven ability to collaborate with team members and community partners.
- Reliable, responsible, and committed to the development and well-being of Kickapoo youth.
- Must be available to work full-time from May 13 until August 2.
