Summary:

Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of assigned areas to ensure a clean, comfortable, safe and attractive environment for our guests

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest standards to ensure the quality and cleanliness in the casino and other required areas as assigned by the Supervisor
• Assume the responsibility of keeping your assigned area maintained in accordance with policies and procedures
• Clean in between slot machines, remove any paper, place any glasses on the end of the slot bank, and discard all empty bottles
• Empty ashtrays ensuring there are not any hot ashes, clean out built-in ashtrays and remove items from sand urns; wipe ashtrays clean with a wet towel
• Sweep trash and debris, edging machines, and/or stairs
• Check the porter closets in assigned area, remove boxes, towels, trash, remove gum and check for spots at the end of each shift
• Properly use and operate tools and equipment as trained
• Continually observe your area and report any conditions that may not be up to company standards to the Lead Porter
• Perform Housekeeper duties as needed
• Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
• Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
• Perform other duties as assigned
  
  

Requirements

Qualifications

• Previous public area or housekeeping cleaning experience preferred
• Previous experience working with chemicals, cleaning products and solvents as well as the correct use of each
• Possess excellent written, verbal and communication skills
• Ability to organize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to effectively interact with fellow team members and management
• Ability to interact with guests in a professional and courteous manner
• Proven experience providing high level of guest service
• Must be at least 21 years old
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal
• Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
• Verify right to work in the United States

• Frequently lift and/or carry up to 50lbs at floor, knee, waist and chest levels

• Constant use of hearing and vision, distinguish between shades of color, and use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity
• Work for sustained periods of time maintaining concentrated attention to detail
