Hourly Rate: $18.67
Benefits: Limited University's benefits
Days & Hours: Variable weekly schedule to be established by supervisor. Flexible schedule may require evening and weekend hours during peak periods.
BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF JOB:
All teaching assistants are chosen directly by faculty members. Individual faculty members are responsible for publicizing any available teaching assistant positions for their course(s). Golden Gate University GGU Worldwide maintains a pool of qualified individuals who would like to provide administrative or academic support as a Teaching Assistant. At this time there may not be an immediate vacancy, but candidates may provide their application to this posting.

Serve as teaching assistant for first-year or upper-level courses. Provide substantive course reviews and consult with enrolled students to provide additional guidance and instruction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Teaching assistants work closely with students as defined by the professor.
- May be asked to attend class meetings, conduct review sessions, explain model questions and answers, and meet with individuals or small groups of students during designated office hours.
- Teaching assistants in skills courses may be asked to supervise or coach a team of students in a simulated exercise.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
A BS, BA, Master's degree or other relevant degree.
