Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Provide patient observation and report any changes in health or behavior to the nursing staff.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the living environment.
- Support clients in personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Engage residents in recreational activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Follow HIPAA regulations to protect the privacy and confidentiality of client information.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a group home or similar caregiving environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of CPR and first aid procedures is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with patient observation techniques and meal preparation skills.
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe living space for residents.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- A genuine passion for providing care and support to others.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
