The Compliance Label Specialist is a position in the Missouri Compliance Department that is responsible for reviewing all product and case labels for accuracy and compliance to regulations before they are printed and distributed to patients and consumers. The Compliance Specialist is a unique position that requires a strong analytical and organizational skillset due to the strict labeling requirements of marijuana products.
Marijuana product labeling is a crucial component in Missouri’s highly regulated legal marijuana industry – to ensure compliance with these requirements while avoiding costly recalls, all Good Day Farm product labels are reviewed and approved before printing and circulation to the public. The primary responsibility of the Compliance Label Specialist is to review all marijuana product label submissions for accuracy and either issue an approval for print, or a denial for rework.
This position will ensure all product labels conform to the high quality and compliance standards that are in place and will also collaborate frequently with the other internal production departments within the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures accurate labeling by use of multiple platforms and data points to review compliance label submissions against internal product specifications.
- Coordinates with Quality Assurance Management to maintain organization and upkeep of internal product labeling resources.
- Investigates and documents labeling issues and/or inconsistencies; escalates to Compliance Department management as necessary.
- Communicates issues and needs with Compliance Department management.
- Maintains a high standard of orderliness and professionalism.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to obtain a state medical marijuana badge and pass a background check
- Must be able to communicate with GDF Team effectively and professionally.
- Must perform under high-pressure situations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-stress situations

Education & Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Advanced Computer experience required (Metrc, Office Suite, etc.)
- 1 years of experience working with data systems management is strongly preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- The ability to respond quickly to sounds
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
- The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
- The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day
- The ability to sit or stand for up to 12 hours at a time
- The ability to work in bright/hot/humid conditions
- The ability to work in low-light situations
- Lifting, standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, push/pull, repetitive use of hands, grasping use of hands, visual activity
- Exposure to limited hazardous chemicals
