What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Education Teacher position at Good Shepherd Episcopal School?
Reports to: Assistant Head of Middle School
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Position Purpose: To teach, enrich, and reinforce the physical education curriculum.
Essential Functions:
- Teach and plan lessons and activities for early childhood, lower, and middle school students, with particular emphasis on sportsmanship as well as eye-hand coordination and physical skills through inclusive games and exercises while encouraging a love of physical activity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in physical education, kinesiology, or related field; may have an advanced degree
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Work in a stressful environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a varied and diverse array of contacts
