What You’ll Do:
- Greet customers with a smile and positive attitude.
- Opening and closing duties based on your schedule.
- Manage cashiers, donation attendants, hangers, and other team members – and perform their duties as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service and exhibit great employee relations skills.
- Accurately count money and transport deposits to the bank.
- Work in a fast-paced, high-energy, and busy environment!
Education, Experience, and Skills that are a must:
- Minimum of 6 months previous retail sales in a lead position, or 90 days employed with Goodwill.
- Must be 18 years of age and have the ability to work 100% of scheduled hours onsite.
- Valid NC Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and fellow employees.
- Must be honest, dependable, and able to make discretionary decisions with minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Lead/Shift I position with GICNC will be considered in lieu of the high school diploma or equivalent requirement.
- Light to medium lifting (up to 25lbs) is required. Stooping, bending, pulling, pushing, standing, reaching, handling, speaking, hearing, carrying, walking, lifting, occasional climbing, good eyesight, and color vision.
Pay Range & Schedule: This position is hourly, non-exempt and starts at $14.50 / hour or higher depending on store size. Also eligible for quarterly performance-based bonuses.
- Must be able to adhere to our attendance policy. We’re a retail environment with retail hours, which can include nights, weekends, and some holidays.
- Most of our stores are open Monday – Saturday 10AM - 8PM & Sunday 1PM – 6PM, so no late night shifts!
- Full-time positions are based on a 40-hour work week and open availability is required (includes weekends and evenings).
